Love

Love is like a red red rose,

Beautiful and fragrant,

Treasured by the keeper,

Coveted by the beholder.

Love is as cruel as a rose,

Underneath its beauty lies the thorns,

It can make you bleed,

It can bring you pain.

Love is as fragile as a rose

Planted along the riverside,

The calm waters raise it,

The turbulent waters raze it.
