Kind

Updated: Jul 12, 2025

A thing that everyone wants

But nobody wants to give

Beautiful in all the fonts

Essential to live

An art long forgotten

In this harsh, cruel world

It makes me woe begotten

That the flag of hope is still furled

We all must learn to be kind

Treat everyone around us well

Open a new door in our mind

And make everyone feel swell

We never know how much power

A few kind words can hold

Some actions too can flower

Into beauty, bright and bold

You may vanquish a wraith

If you just be

Filled with faith

And some empathy

Kindness and compassion

Can be the greatest tools

To cause a transformation

From rocks to shimmering jewels
