I stand in this new place

A home it’ll supposedly become

Bright walls, new space

And there my mind goes again

To the place I’m accustomed to

Where each wall holds a memory

Of the kid I once was and the person the world now has

I think back to the hatred I once held

To a place which now seems like everything

I dreaded my home

Now I crave the feeling of it

It’s funny how we only deem something important

After it’s taken away

I’m used to knowing everything

The good and the bad

Everything like the back of my hand

But all I do now, is hold back tears

For it’s a fact now

Nothing will be the same;

As it was.
