Echo

By Shubhangi Godse

I feel it too,

the cold that holds us still,

as if time itself has stopped too.

Your words linger like Perfume,

but are they for me,

or just for the moon,

the way you say them,

soft as a secret shared.

Your gaze pulls me under,

like a quiet sea,

and for a moment,

I let myself drift.

I lose myself in your voice,

as if it holds the answers

to everything I’ve been asking,

even when I’m too afraid to know.

The way you smile,

I wonder if you know

How my world shifts

with single curve of your lips.

And still, I wonder—

is this real,

or are we just two dreamers

weaving ourselves into the night?

But yes—

I feel it too.

The snowflakes settle between us,

soft as a whispered promise,

I like you

And maybe

Just maybe

You like me too?
