Her tears speak for strength and eyes for pride

Her screams are shut but her lips spread wide

Patronizing the fear, you inspire

One that glides down her dupatta right into her belly

It’s guarding a treasure

She is awake she is aware.

I watch her every day from these sideways.

She Smiles subtly at her neighbour and silently drowns in despair.

Who is she?

Someone who bleeds every month to keep the world going?

Who sometimes wears her scars and sometimes smile for the showing?

Or, is she a machine to birth child and serve?

What she asks are rights or demands?

Is it something she deserves?

Then why?

Why do they take her tears for weakness, body for shame?

Success for contingence, womanhood fir disdain.

Wrapping women in pink feathers of prejudice, innocently alluding their manhood to mockery.

Her skin marked with lashes of belt, or boundaries they created.

Her heart melts away like the candle of momentary protests, she is holding her breath exasperated.

She barely breathes and often bleeds.

The wounds you cast from your poisonous seeds.

She runs, she crawls, she fights with claws.

She is a warrior, a protector, a guard, a keeper.

Then, why you break her down?

Why you cut her open?

Her tongue was cut , she couldn’t scream anymore

They were so afraid of her credibility that they destroyed it .

The blood is on me, but it is on you too.
