War

By Pragya Pandey

Among all the other  things,  life is  ‘ war’ too. At least, I believe it and if I am  ever asked I would say , the battles in this “war” are basically of two types.

One , which is fought with help. Your opponent is specific ,fixed….it may be  a person, a problem, a situation, a tragedy, an incident or an accident or whatever….we fight this battle along with our comrades i.e. mother ,father, siblings, friends, different numbers and different types of trusted acquaintances , allies. Over all , battle is relatively easy .

But, the other one ; it’s hard, it is to be fought without help. Sometimes, your opponent is not even clear, your enemy or challenger strikes and hides and remain in disguise ,no solid tangible existence…. This battle is to be fought alone. Your mother and others can no longer help you to  fight your battle and you  got to give all your tooth and nails to it. This fight is fiercer , requires strength; harder and the consequences are dire. You fight ,bleed, may win or  loose to go insane .But that’s the way it is, that’s way it always has been  and  that’s the way it always will be….
