I’m in the sky,
Watching the buildings like the pieces of Lego
I see the trail of the highway lights,
Connecting both cities, I’ve lived in
One too distant to remember fully,
Another mired in its mundane memories
The roads melt into the green,
The green dissolves to some unknown beaches
And I am surrounded by the clouds
Haze everywhere.
One moment, I see it all,
distinctly,
Another,
I am in total white
I’ve cried over the future,
I’ve dwelled on my past
I used to look up to see the rain,
Sometimes filling me with nostalgia,
Sometimes, with a gloom
Now I look down, and everything’s so minuscule
At least for this moment.
Insignificant, invisible.
With so many unknowns and the burdened(heavy) knowns,
I think nothing but muse about myself
Rolling over these cloud sheets
Something resembling the Mario world,
Eating them up like cotton candies
And peeking down as if that is the sky,
Far and unfathomable.
