Sure, she was a grown up now,
But that little girl always yearned.
She often thought, maybe for once?
She could be held tenderly,
With love, passion and affection?
Perhaps she could act like a doltish kid,
Never made fun of for being dumb,
Not once being compared to none?
All she wanted was time from her old folks,
But she could only dream of it.
She lovingly pleaded, but got scolded,
Rarely was she ever heard.
All she had was herself in a family of three,
With no love and respect ever seen.
