Her
By Nurjahan P. Nizar
I am jealous,
Haven’t seen her without a smile,
Haven’t seen her fail class,
Disgusted over her happiness.
Gossiping and thrashing grew over time,
She remained silent,
Why would she complain,
It will only hurt them.
She headed home,
Screaming and blaming continued,
Couldn’t hold back anymore,
Yelled and slammed the door.
She was trapped,
Weeping and whispering,
It’s happening again,
I can hear my heartbeat,
It’s getting louder,
Knocked to the ground,
Breathing and counting,
It’ll be okay…right?
