There's a heaviness I carry in my heart,

A guilt, that resides deep in the hollowness

of my chest

Something that restricts my breathing

Something that forms a web inside my throat.

I scratch myself to get relief

but it hurts me more.

A burden that keeps on hanging

over my shoulder,

That I feel myself getting swallowed

by the ground

Being chained by the words

they claim to be me,

stops me from widening my wings

and claw over me to take away

my feathers

So all I am left with is

my body to lie down,

And blood, to write my stories

on the wall.
