19 Year Old's Definition of Life

By Konegari Surekha

Life’s presumed to be sugars and brownies,

But wake up, child — you might end up tears drowny.

Time’s ticking! Show up, open up,

To people who would pop with “Sup?”

Say what you felt to people you’ve loved,

You never know when you’re deprived.

Don’t dwell over materials, luxuries,

When all you carry forward are treasured memories.

Be content, pause, and reflect,

You can make out all that one defect.

Spend quality time with people you cherish —

Remember! You matter a lot to them... as things perish.

Laugh is the best medicine — easiest around loved ones,

Utilize it as long as you’ve won someone’s.

Choose wisely, place accordingly, prioritize effectively,

Grades today — forgotten tomorrow, you’re graced timely.

Always be transparent and wrapped in your roots,

You could never grow up to be their fruits.

As long as someone’s deprived sleep

With a wink of you, weep.

Realize you’ve won at life...!!

Need someone to wipe your salty tears without strife?

Oh kid!! You’re treasured ally,

When at least one soul prays for you — all by.
