Based off of the sin of gluttony, this artwork reflects of the impact of human life on the planet. The need to constantly have more and more is depicted in this drawing by the abundance of food and the vibrant colors. The animals and food blend together showing how we disrespect the living beings around us in favor of pleasure, while we often forget that we are also one of them.

The story behind this piece took place in New York City, March 15, I was on a trip with the Eagle Crest marching band. we had already been to Boston to see the Boston symphony which the trip was life changing, yet musical experience was matchless. This piece came to me when we had sat down to listen to the New York Phill Harmonic in the Manhattan Lincoln center. I had closed my eyes to fully invest myself into the piece and I never sat depicted the effect music has on a space

I created this piece as an expression of how fulfilling it is to play music. ever since 6th grade I've used music as a means of escape from life and it's stresses. I feel that intimate accommodation that music provides for a soul is a feeling everyone if not most can relate to. I depicted a large oversized eye to depict how large of a focus music is in my life. Realism using oil paints conveys a realistic sense of emotional exhaustion and anxiety. A large canvas & negative space to represent an overburden of anxiety-holds me back in performances and I wanted to capture the anxiety and lack of self confidence in light tenebrism and contrapposto yet defeated body language.
