මනමේ

උහුලන් ඉන්න බැරි තැන වැඩිපුර ඇඬුව

නැතුවම නෙවෙයි බහ හිත රිද්දුව අඩුව

තිබුණත් කතන්දර පොත්වල ගැන නඩුව

සත්තයි දුන්නෙ නෑ තාත්තෙ මං කඩුව

සුපිපුණු පුංචි මල් අත උඩ නිදි කරලා

සුදු සිසි සේල දුන්නා පොදියට ඔතලා

ලස්සන තැන් නැතත් ආදර බස් ගොතලා

නැතුවද නේද සැර ඉරකට හඳ බැඳිලා

බොහොමයි ආල හිත එව් හැමු හීත නලේ

හිරිකඩ තුෂර නැතුවත් පිපි මලක දලේ

යනකොට පටලවන් දෑඟිලි ළැවක සලේ

ප්‍රේමය නුඹ කියන නෑ හද සුවඳ කළේ

මුතු රන් බරණ පරදා සහසැස් වරුණ

සිහ අත් විදා පතුරන තේජස පිරුණ

හය හත් වරක් දුටුවද පෙරදිග අරුණ

ඔහු ඉපදුවා පමණයි මල් පෙති මැරුණ

හවසක රතු පාට ඉහිරී නුඹ දිලුණා

දවසම එදා තැන තැන සුදු මල් පිපුණා

ඇහැරුණු පෙතිවලට අහසින් පිනි ඉහුණා

මෙච්චර ලස්සනයි දෙව් පුර සුව දැනුණා

දුටු තැන ඝන නිලට සියොළඟ කිලිපොවන

දෑතින් සැනින් මහ මේරුව බිඳ දමන

ඇහුණට එක තැනක දෙතැනක ගුණ වයන

දැක්කෙම එදයි මිනිසෙක් වුණ දෙව් රුවන

රැකගන්නමයි හිතලා රජ කඩුව අරන්

කොපුවත් එකඳු තැබුවා තුරුලටම කරන්

නොම දෙමි ඈව දිනුවත් අපි අපිව මරන්

කිව්වා මම උන්නෙ තනිවම මාව දරන්

උඳුරන් අයිතියක් යැද කග හා මහද

හිතුවෙම නැතිව පිපුණා පරවුණු සුවඳ

ඩිංගක් මුදු වුණා විතරයි යට ළමැද

ඇත්තම තමයි එතනත් මටමයි වරද

කොපුවට බර වුණා පපුවම හිරි වැටුණා

බඹරට වඩා අපි මහ වැස්සට බැඳුණා

සුදු දල මලේ රතු රුහිරෙන් පද ගෙතුණා

ඇත්තයි තාත්තේ මම ආයෙත් මැරුණා

වෙනකොට දෙකඩ හදවත කග විනිවිදින

කොපුලට පිනි ඇවිත් මටමයි ඉඟි මරන

දුන්නා නෙවෙයි ගත්තා පපුවෙම පිරුණ

ප්‍රේමය විතරක්ද කඩුවත් ළඟ තියන

පුරවා හිදැස් ප්‍රේමය හිඟ කුමර හිත

වළ ළඟ ඇඬුව මනමේ ගැන පුරාවත

කවිවල රජ කරන කුළුඳුල් පැතුම් මත
