ഇലകളും പച്ച കാട്ടരുവിയും പച്ച

നിറയുന്ന വനഭംഗിയെങ്ങു പോയീ?

പ്രകൃതി തൻ നിറമാണ്

കണ്ണിനു കുളിരാണ്

നിറങ്ങളിൽ മനോഹരിയായ പച്ച

ഹരിത നിറത്തിന് ചാരുതയേറുമീ

പൈങ്കിളി പാടിയ പാട്ടിലാണേ

നാമിന്നറിയുന്ന രാമായണത്തിന്റെ

സീലുകൾ നാടാകെ മുഴങ്ങിടുന്നൂ

എഴുത്തച്ഛന്റെ ശാരികപ്പൈതലിൻ

മൊഴികളിന്നെമ്പാടും മാറ്റൊലി കൊണ്ടിടുന്നേൻ

എമ്പാടും മാറ്റൊലി കൊണ്ടിടുന്നേൻ

The leaves are green, the wild stream is green

Where was the beauty of the forest gone?

Colour of the nature, cooler of the eyes

Green is the most beautiful colour in the pallet of colours

The green beauty sung the Ramayana

We know all that

Its lyrics reverberate across the land

Parrot is the pet of the great poet Ezhuthachan

And she spreads everywhere, the words of her boss.
