കിളിമകൾ പാടുന്ന പാട്ടിൽ ഞാൻ കേട്ടൂ

കേരളമണ്ണിന്റെ ഈരടികൾ

സുന്ദര സുരഭില സ്വപ്നമീ ഭൂമിയിൽ

വന്നുദിച്ചൊരു സൂര്യനെപ്പോൽ

പെയ്തൊഴിയുന്നൊരീ പൂമഴച്ചാറ്റലിൽ

മിന്നിമായുന്നിതെൻ തിരുവോണ നാൾ

ഓർമ്മകൾ ഊഞ്ഞാലാടുമീ മാവിന്റെ

തുഞ്ചത്തിരുന്നൊരു കൂടുകൂട്ടാം

ഓർമ്മകൾ കൊണ്ടൊരു കൊച്ചുകൊട്ടാരമായ്

മാറിക്കിൽ ഓലകൾ മെടഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം

തുഴയില്ലാതൊടുന്ന കുഞ്ഞോടം കണക്കേ

പായുമീ മനസ്സിനെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടാം

നിനവിന്റെ മാരിവിൽ കൊട്ടാരക്കെട്ടിൽ പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടാം

The Palace of Memories

I heard a song of a little bird

Songs of the land of Kerala

Like a rising sun,

It’s a beautiful dreamy earth

My Onam days are flashing

In a falling shower of flowers

Let’s build a nest at the end of this Mango Tree

In which my dreams are playing a swing

A small palace filled with my memories

Like a boat running without an oar

Tie the running mind

Tie up in the rainbow palace of memories
