கடன் பட்ட காரணம்

கடல் தாண்டி இருக்கிறேன்

மழலை மொழி கேக்கயிலே

மனம் இங்கு ஏங்குது

மார்போடு தழுவிட மனைவியை

தேடுது

என் தலைமுடி கோதிட

தாய்விரல் தேடுறேன்

அழைப்பினை துண்டித்தேன்

அடுத்தநொடி போகும் முன்னே

கரைந்திடும் கண்ணீரில் அஞ்சு காசு

சேமிச்சேன்

வறுமையை ஒழித்திட இளமையை

அடகு வச்சேன்

ஒப்பந்தம் முடியும் நேரம்

உதட்டினில் சிரிப்பு இல்லையே

English Translation : - Foreign Life

As I fell in debts,

I was forced to move out of my Motherland,

I miss my little one's innocent voice,

I miss my dear wife's love,

All the above: I miss my mother's comforting hug and her lip-snacking food,

Being very cautious about the duration of each call I talk with my loved ones,

And worried when every minute of my phone call is completed,

I perform a mental calculation of the call charges and control talking to my family.

Realising the potential of every penny I save and shell out,

During this time, I did not know that I was becoming old and had not enjoyed my life.

By the time I close my debts, my charm and my happiness are also closed.
