பொறியாளர் தினம்

கதிரவனின் கருவில் தோன்றி

விண்வெளி நிலத்தில் ஊன்றி

அண்டம் என பெயரெடுத்து

ஜீவராசிகளை பெற்றெடுத்த

புண்ணிய பூமியே கேள்!

நாகரீகம் நடுவே எழுந்து

நான்முகனின் கனவைத் தைத்து

விண்கோளைச் சுற்றிவரும் செயற்கைகோளும்

விழிக்கு வழிசெய்த மின்னொளியும்

கல்லுக்கு உயிர்க்கொடுத்து

காவியமாகிய கட்டிடமும்

வலைத்தளங்களை பெற்றெடுத்த

வன்மை மிகுந்த கணினியும்

இலக்கியங்களை புரட்டிப்போட்டு

இயலாதவைகளை இயக்கவைத்து

இந்திய நாட்டுப் பெருமையை

நிலைக்க வைத்த இயந்திரங்களும்

யெம் போன்ற பொறியாளனும்

வியக்கத்தக்க விஞ்ஞானிகளும்

உருவாக்கிய உன்னத படைப்புகள்

தாயே! பூமித்தாயே!

என் புகழை எடுத்துரைக்க

ஒரு தினம் தாராயோ!

Translation:

Engineer’s Day

Upon born from the womb of the Sun, stepped into the space ground, named as the universe, giving birth to the organisms, Dear blessed Earth hear! Being get up in the middle of civilization, stitching the dream of four faced Lord Brahma, satellite orbiting the world, electric bulb which paved way for the vision of the eyes, by giving life to the stone, the sculpture became an epic art, brave computers gave birth to the websites and internet, machines made India proud by flipping the old literatures and enabled the impossible are the noble works created by engineers like me and the astonishing scientists. Mother! Mother Earth! To express my fame, Please give me one day.
