24 இல் பிறந்தவனே

22 கெஜம் இடைவெளியில் கிரிக்கெட்டை ஆண்டவனே

எதிரிகள் கூடாரத்தில் உனக்கு மதிப்பு உண்டு

உனக்களித்ததனால் விருதுக்கும் இங்குச் சிறப்பு உண்டு

சதங்களின் நாயகனே சரித்திரத்தில் சூரியனே

அமைதியில் சந்திரனே அஞ்சலியின் சுந்தரனே

முதல் போட்டியில் மூக்குடைத்தனரே

பால்மாறா பிஞ்சு இவனென்று நகைத்தனரே

ஐந்தரை அடிதான் அவன் உருவம்

ஆட்டத்தில் தெரியும் இவன் சொரூபம்

எட்டாக்கனி என்றும் எட்டி நின்று பார்த்தனர்

எட்டுவைத்து நீ அடித்தாய் இங்கு 200 எளிது என்றனர்
