Tamil Version : - என்ன சொல்லி விழுகிறது மழை

மண் நோக்கி விழும் என்னை

விண்ணோக்கி வியப்புடன் கரம் விரித்து

விளையாடிய மாந்தர் நடுவே

கோடையிலும் கொட்டி தீர்க்க

ஆசைப்பட்டவள்

குளிர் காலத்தே பொழிந்தாலும்

குடைக்குள்ளே குறுகி

குறுஞ்செய்தி காணும்

நரன் இவன் மத்தியில்

என் மீது நாட்டம் உள்ளதோ என

அறிய விழைகிறேனோ

வீதியில் மழைத்துளியாய்

காகிதத்தில் கப்பல்

செய்து விட்டு மகிழ்ந்து

தன் கனவு பட்டறையில்

கால் நினைத்து விளையாட

அழைக்கும் மழலையரின் வார்த்தைக்கு இசையவா

வெண்ணிற ஆடையில் பெண்டிரும் வருகையில்

சில விரகத்தில் விஞ்சிய வீணர்களின்

இச்சைக்கு இணங்கவோ என்று

வருணனும் வாயடைத்து நிற்க

என்னத்த சொல்லுவதென்று அறியாமல்

எண்ணத்தை சொல்லும் வண்ணம்

இறுகிய நிலையாய் ஆங்காங்கே

ஆலங்கட்டி மழையாய்

English Translation : - What’s the rain saying?

As I shower down as little droplets

I see kids waving hands and enjoying my arrival.

Though I showered during summer,

Everyone played hide and seek under the umbrella,

Ignoring me, all eyes were immersed in their mobiles, busily scrolling the news feed,

Should I pour down to see the joy of little kids,

Making paper boats and excited to see the direction of their creation,

Or,

Should I pour down when young ladies walk out, and my droplets wet their tender skin?

Confusing the Lord of Rain to decide when to pour,

Still trying to make everyone happy, I fall randomly like a hailstone.
