ধরিত্রী কে দেখে তুমি মুগ্ধ!

কিন্তু এই গ্রহ কি স্বাধীন?

না, এই বিশাল ধরণীটা মহাবিশ্বে বন্দী।।

আবার তুমি সে সমাজে থাকো যেটা আছে এই গ্রহেতেই বন্দী;

আসলে আমরা কেউ না স্বাধীন...

সকলেই সংসারের মায়াজালের ফাঁদ।।

একদিকে এই যুগের লোকের চিন্তাভাবনা আর

একদিকে যুগটা নিজেই কিন্তু বন্দী।

অধর্মের শিকারে সত্যি হয়ে যাচ্ছে নির্দয়।

অবশ্য এগুলো তো কত বড় ব্যাপার,,

যখন তোমার ছোট দেহে পাঁজরের মধ্যে বন্দী

আছে সেই হৃদয়।।।
