(The Wait For The Storm)

The wait for the storm

Never could I look into your eyes,

before I could call to you I lost my voice,

leaving words unspoken.

How I wished to get near,

to surrender and breath in

the fragrance of your existence.

The touch of your hand

could awaken my soul, like a volcano waiting to rise again

One glance from you

could have brought down a wild torrent.

From the scale of the himalayas

to the depth of the ocean,

one call from you,

my world would have risen.

My life stands still

awaiting the storm

burning away my days and nights;

Alas, that fairy tale has never been written,

and the tender whispers remain silent.

That immortal epic hasn’t been composed.

The waiting is all to which I am disposed.
