ইতিহাস লিখে রাখে (Written In History)

মানুষের ইতিহাস
দুরন্ত বিশ্বাস
কচিঘাস মাড়ানোর
মাথা তুলে দাঁড়ানোর
দেশ ঘর হারানোর
ঠাঁই খুঁজে ফেরানোর
জ্বলন্ত আশ্বাস।।
ওই যারা হেঁটে যায়
সীমান্ত পার হতে
জীবনের হাতছানি
মৃত্যুর ধার হতে।
কী ভীষন আপ্রাণ
মরিয়া প্রচেষ্টায়,
কাঁটাতার,গুলি,বোমা,
জীবনের তেষ্টায়।
সব বাধা পার হয়,
মরে যায়, ঝরে যায়
অপমান সয়ে যায়।
একভাগ স্থলভূমে
এতটুকু মাটি চায়।
দুনিয়া বিদীর্ণ
ক্ষতবিক্ষত হলো।
কিছু কি চেতনা হলো?
কতো দেশ ছাই হলো,
শৈশব পুড়ে গেলো
বুলেটে ও রকেটে।
মানুষের চামড়ায়
বেয়নেট খোঁচা দেয়,
কোন দেশ আগলায়
কে যে কোন ভূমিকায়,
আসলে মানুষ চায়
খেয়ে পরে বাঁচতে।
ভাগে ভাগে ভাগ হয়
দেশে, কালে, চামড়ায়
ধর্মের নামেতে
অস্থির হামলায়।
কে শানায় ছুরি ওই
খিদে পেটে কাঁদে কে,
ভিটেমাটি ছেড়ে ওই
দেশ ছেড়ে ভাগে কে।
পেটে ভাত,দাড়ানোর
মাটি শুধু মাগে ওই,
সব উঠোন বেড়া দিলে
ওরা সব যাবে কই।
দুস্তর অসহায়
বারবার পরাজয়
তবু জেনো নিশ্চয়
যারা আছে ক্ষমতায়
বাধা সব পেরিয়ে,
সব বেড়া গুঁড়িয়ে,
নেই থেকে আছি হই
সবখানে ছড়িয়ে।
ইতিহাস লিখে রাখে
ক্ষুধা জ্বালা জিতে গেছে
মৃত্যুকে সরিয়ে।
Written in history
The history of mankind:
is a tale of unwavering belief.
Men who stood tall,
and crushed the green grass beneath,
who have lost their home,
yet search for shelter
in tremendous hope.
Those that walk
across the borders,
at the edge of death
with burning faith;
what a nightmare
in a desperate effort!
Longing for a living,
amidst barbed wire & bullets.
Conquering all obstacles;
they die, they fall;
they face humiliation
for a handful of soil.
The world is wounded
but where does conscience lie
when bullets & rockets
have burnt childhood
and turned countries to ashes?
The bayonet pins
on the bare skin,
yet countries race
for the foolish win!
While mankind just hopes
to make both ends meet.
The world is fractured
in the name of race & religion.
Who hones the dagger
who cries of hunger,
who is leaving their homeland
for countries stranger.
He who pines for a living,
for a piece of land to stand up,
where does he go
if everyone walls up?
For the ones who are helpless
and the ones who are defeated,
yet those in power
rest be assured,
man will overcome all barriers,
break down all fences,
will strive to survive
even with their insignificance.
At last, only history knows,
In the face of hunger,
even death bows.
