शक्ति

पैदा हुई थी जब, तू शक्ति का अवतार थी,

मगर इस ज़ालिम दुनिया ने, तेरी ताक़त को नकार दी।

बचपन से ही सिखाया तुझे, सिमटना ही तेरी शान है,

चुप रहना, दबे रहना, यही तेरी पहचान है।

उन्होंने कहा “धीरे बोलो,” “अपनी पलकें नीचे करो,

चुप चाप घर के चूल्हे में लकड़ियाँ भरो।“

तेरी पीड़ा को उन्होंने ‘स्त्री-धर्म’ बताया है,

तेरी ख़ामोशी को ‘सदाचार’ कह कर, तुझे हर रोज़ सताया है।

मगर जो तेरे सीने में एक आग आज जलती है,

वही शक्ति का रूप है, जो तेरी रगों में चलती है।

तू कमज़ोर नहीं है,

बोलो क्या ये सही है?

तुझसे नए जीवन की शुरुआत यहाँ पर होती है,

तेरी ममता के आँचल में, नयी पीढ़ियाँ सोती हैं।

सदियों के झूठे रिवाजों में, तुझे हर बार रोका गया,

यहाँ न जाना, वहाँ न जाना, तुझे हर बार टोका गया।

शक्ति कोई पत्थर नहीं, न मूरत का कोई नाम है,

अन्याय के ख़िलाफ़ जो उठे, वही तो शक्ति संग्राम है।

मांग मत, तू अपना हक़ छीनने आयी है,

कोई नहीं लड़ेगा तेरे लिए, ये तेरी अपनी लड़ाई है।

तोड़ दे उन रिवाजों को जो तुझे नीचा दिखाती हैं,

शक्ति रुकती नहीं आगे बढ़ती जाती है।

अगर वो रोकते हैं तुझे, तो समझ तू ख़तरा भारी है,

क्योंकि तू अब जाग चुकी, एक दिव्य भयंकर नारी है!

मैं शक्ति, न मंदिर की थाली, न पत्थर की कोई मूरत हूँ,

मैं तो वो आग हूँ जो हर लड़की की सूरत हूँ।

जब तू सुनना छोड़कर आवाज़ कहीं उठाती है,

जब तू सहना छोड़कर, क्रूरता को मिटाती है।

तब मैं शक्ति आती हूँ

और सबको इस नींद से एकसाथ जगाती हूँ।
