कवितेचे शिर्षक: रंगांआडचा चेहरा

मी नाही यातला, मी नाही त्यातला…

मी आहे तरी कश्यातला?

मी हे करत नाही,मी ते करत नाही…

मी फक्त लोकांना हसवतो.

पण त्या हसण्यामागे

कितीतरी न बोललेले प्रश्न आहेत...

मी आहे कोण? माझं अस्तित्व काय?

मी सर्कशीतले प्रत्येक खेळ करतो,

प्रकाशझोतात उभा राहतो,

चेहऱ्यावर रंग चढवतो,

आणि स्वतःला विसरून

एक नवी भूमिका जगतो.

लोकांच्या चेहऱ्यावर हसू आणणं

हीच माझी ओळख बनली...

मी ती व्यक्ती, जी लोकांना हसवते!

पण प्रश्न तोच-"मी काय करतो?"

मी रंगवतो चेहऱ्यावर हसू,

पण डोळ्यांतले प्रश्न लपवत असतो.

मी टाळ्यांच्या गजरात उभा असतो,

पण टाळ्या थांबल्यावरच्या शांततेत

स्वतःलाच शोधत असतो.

लोक म्हणतात, "हा विनोद करतो."

पण कुणी विचारत नाही-"हा जगतो कसा?"

ज्या हातांनी लोकांचे अश्रू पुसले,

त्याच हातांनी स्वतःचे अश्रू कितीतरी वेळा लपवले.

हसणं माझा व्यवसाय असेल,

पण माझं अस्तित्व त्याहून कितीतरी मोठं आहे.

कारण मी फक्त हसवणारा चेहरा नाही,

मी त्या मुखवट्यामागचा माणूस आहे.

म्हणून आज मी स्वतःलाच विचारतो-

मी टाळ्यांचा आवाज आहे?

की त्या आवाजानंतरची शांतता?

मी जोकर आहे...

की मुखवट्यामागचा माणूस?

मी रंग आहे?

की त्या रंगांआड लपलेली वेदना?

मी नाही यातला,मी नाही त्यातला…

मग मी आहे तरी कश्यातला?

कदाचित,माझं काम लोकांना हसवणं असेल,

पण माझा प्रवास स्वतःला शोधण्याचा आहे.

आणि तो प्रश्न अजूनही तसाच आहे-

मी आहे तरी कोण?
