मैं कौन हूँ?

मुझे पाने के लिए

क्या नहीं कर जाते तुम।

कभी हदें पार कर जाते हो,

तो कभी सरहदें.

मैं कौन हूँ?

वजूद क्या है मेरा?

क्या जानते हो तुम?

मेरी कहानी

सिर्फ़ दो प्रेमियों तक सीमित नहीं है।

सुबह से शाम,

रात तक

न जाने कितने अनगिनत एहसास हैं मेरे.

कभी मैं माँ की ममता में

मुस्कुराता हूँ,

तो कभी उसके हाथ के बने खाने के स्वाद में

तुम्हारे रोम-रोम में बस जाता हूँ.

पिता के मुँह से न सही,

उनकी भावनाओं के पीछे छिपकर

मैं तुम्हें निहारता हूँ.

एक कवि की रूह से निकलकर

लफ़्ज़ों से रिश्ते कायम करता हूँ।

शायराना अंदाज़ में

मुझे न जाने कितने नामों से

पुकारा जाता है.

मेरे न होने से

चाँद और चाँदनी भी रूठ जाएँगे,

तारे भी सहम जाएँगे.

सूरज, नदियाँ और पहाड़

मेरे हिस्से की कहानियों के

गवाह हैं.

मैं अनंत भी हूँ,

अनादि भी.

संपूर्ण सृष्टि में

जहाँ भी प्रेम जीवित है,

वहाँ मैं हूँ।
