भला बालक

भला बालक बिचारों की यह कसक किसने देखी है,

गुज़रती हाय! इन नन्हें दिलों पर आज कैसी है।

बड़ों के शौक को हरदम सिनेमा, बाग, बंगले हैं,

कोई इनसे भी पूछे, तुम्हारी भी कोई इच्छा है?

भला बालक बिचारों की यह कसक किसने देखी है।

बड़ों की शाम महफिल में, कभी उत्सव, कभी मेले में,

मगर इनकी हँसी के फूल, क्यों मुरझाए अकेले में।

कभी इनके भी सपने पलने दो, कभी चाहत को आकाश छूने दो।

न समझो इन्हें मिट्टी के पुतले, न केवल भार ढोने दो,

इन्हें भी हक मिला है इस धरा पर, हँसने, रोने को।

कभी इनके भी मन की बात को ध्यान से सुनना,

इनकी छोटी सी दुनिया में उतरकर कुछ गुफ्तगू करना।

कहाँ गुड़िया की शादी है, कहाँ कागज़ की कश्ती है,

आज भी मिट्टी के घरों में, इनकी छोटी-सी दुनिया बस्ती है।

बच्चपन को इनके बच्चपन ही रहने दो, जीने की थोड़ी सी छूट दे दो,

इनके सपनों को थोड़ी-सी धूप दे दो, थोड़ी सी धूप दे दो।
