पतंग

आकाशी उडी उंच हाच घेई, मांजा तया संगती|

वाऱ्याचा करी संग हाच गगनी, जाई क्षितीजा कडे||

देता ढिल तयांसी घेई ताना, स्पर्धा तशी भास्करा|

होता पेच नभांसी खेळ सारा, भावे पतंगा सदा||१||

नामे चित्र विचित्र लोकी त्याचे, तैसे असे रंगही|

आकारे अशी भिन्न सुन्न त्याची, भावे असा ढंगही||

लावी छंद मनांसी धुंद करुनी, पोरा थोरांसी तसा|

प्रेमाचे करी वाण हाती देई, साऱ्या जगांसी असा||२||

वाऱ्याची स्थिती चोख हाच सांगी, देई अशी कल्पना|

वेगाचे झणी ठोकताळे सांगी, अभ्यासी वायू असा||

संदेशा करी पोचता ह्या गगनी, सांगे करा संग हा|

आकाशी अशी उंच ही भरारी, मारा तुम्ही सज्जना||३||

लाडूसी परी संग खावा चिवडा, मांजासी हाती धरा|

देऊनी अशी ढिल ह्या पतंगा, आकाशी उडवा तया||

वायुचे असे पंख त्यांसी जोडा, पेचा नभांसी करा|

आनंदे खेळी ऐसे ह्या पतंगा, तोषावे तैसे मना‌||४||

जोडावी अशी तार ह्या अनंता, पावो तुम्हांसी असा|

जीवांसी तुमच्या तो तुम्हा दावो, भक्ति ही ऐसी करा||

भक्तिच्या गगनात उंच जावे, जाणावे धरमा तथा|

जाणोनि मनी धर्म ऐसा धरणे, साधावी मुक्ति तथा||५||
