हम आजकल किसी पर भरोसा नहीं करते हैं

क्योंकि अंधेरा और मौत जिनसे सब डरते हैं

मुश्किल कोई आए तो इन्हीं के पीछे छुपते हैं

हम तो अब घर से तीन चेहरे लिए निकलते हैं

एक अपनों के लिए, एक गैरों के लिए

और असल चेहरे तो सिर्फ एकांत में निकलते हैं
