ऐसे मरना है मुझे

आग की लपटों में जलेगा हिंदू। दफन होगा मुसलमान। अंधेरी पेटी में कैद होगा ख्रिस्ती। इन तरीकों से तंग हूं में। में जैसे जन्मा था, वैसेही नग्न दफनाया जाए! लेकिन, कोई कबर ना हो, ना हो कोई नाम। बस हो बरगद का पेड़। ऐसे मरना है मुझे। चाहूं के उसकी जड़े, मेरे पूरे शरीर को जकड़े। चाहूं के मेरे मरनेके बाद भी, एक जीव मेरी शव की ऊर्जा से खिले। ऐसे मरना है मुझे। इस तरह मृत्यु के बाद भी मेरी ऊर्जा, वर्षो वर्षो तक पेड़ में जिंदा रहें। लेकिन जब वह पेड़ कटे, तब मेरी हर याद इंसानों की ज़हन से मिटे। ऐसे मरना है मुझे।

I Want To Die Like This.

Hindu will burn in the flames.

Muslim will be buried.

The Christian will be imprisoned in a dark box.

I am tired of these methods.

As I was born

Should be buried naked anyway! But,

There should be no grave, there should be no name.

Just be the banyan tree.

I want to die like this.

I want its roots,

Wrapped my whole body

Even after I die

A creature blossomed from the energy of my dead body.

I want to die like this.

Thus, my energy even after death,

Live in the tree for years and years.

But when that tree is cut down,

Then every memory of me will be erased from the minds of people.

I want to die like this.
