Your City

Though you're long gone and we are through

Your city still smells just like you.

Its beauty, looks like your charm

And its roads welcome me

Like your open arms.

The winds here play with my hair

Just like you did, how is it fair?

That the sun's warm and loving touch

Feels like your embrace

That I have missed so much.

The mug of coffee pressed between my lips

Feels as warm as your lips, when we last kissed.

I feel your presence in everything here

And whenever I leave, I'm left in tears.

For it reminds me of when we parted ways

And bid adeu to our good old days.

So whenever I miss you, I come to this town

And relive these memories that fail to drown.

Though we ended, and there are no retries

'You and me' will never die.
