You Were The One

When I was little, I was nothing,

but you were the one who made me something.

Whenever I was sad and felt the sorrow,

you were the one who gave me hope for tomorrow.

You were the one who punished me for my good,

but your punishments were better than the highest of rewards.

When no one trusted me or believed me,

you were the one who had faith in me.

You tore your feathers to make my wings and to see me fly.

You were heartbroken to send me far away from you, in this cruel world but you did it for my good.

One day, you left me, the day my whole world shuddered into pieces, it was a living nightmare for me.

Whenever I walk to home, you aren’t there to scold me for washing my hands after coming from outside.

I will give up on everything, just to cuddle you as I did then.

Today, many people love me,

but their sum can’t match your love for me.

I didn’t cry for you because you never liked it when I cried.

At the end of the journey, I have everything I wanted, But I have lost my whole world on the way- My Mother.
