You Vs World

Surrounded by the damned voices of others,

my mind kept getting numb

and my heart grew colder.

I tried to shut those voices

to live freely in another moment,

but the voices were powerful

they kept getting me weaker.

After being repressed

within this ideal world of others,

I closed my eyes and tried

not to sway away with terror.

After a moment or two, I heard a call within

it wasn't a dominant one but rather a timid one,

"It's a tough thing to deny the conventional

be glad and celebrate yourself as you did what many others can't".

Remember, deciding is easy

but keep deciding that is harder.

Every time you feel like giving up, close your eyes,

meditate and ask the soul of the universe

"Hey, the soul of the universe

find me, help me, guide me

because I'm lost again.

Lighten my way and show me my path,

please, Help me find

the meaning of my life."

Slowly open your eyes,

and be ready to confront the world.

But remember always to believe in your thoughts,

in your dream and your actions.

Mostly in yourself.

Because it's a fight between you on your own

verses the whole world,

and do what you want without thinking of others.
