You’ll Never Know

You’ll never know

How much I loved you;

For I pushed you away,

Too soon for you to understand.

“I never loved you”

If only you knew why I lied,

Why I had to.

I suppose you never shall

The perfect example for

Right person, wrong time

Too soon you approached,

Too late I realised

Too soon you asked,

Too late I loved you

I’ll never meet another,

As perfect as you.

Had I fought harder,

For us, for you...

Yet...I didn’t.

Instead made you hate me.

And now you’ll never know

How much I loved you.
