You Are The Only One

Day and night,

my only guiding light in the dark alleys of life,

amid all the moments of strife we share,

about each other we care.

Who says we are made for each other?

we are born for each other,

for this mysterious journey called life,

for togetherness in smile and in cry.

O my dear, you are the only one,

in the best of my dreams and in the worst of my nightmares,

in my breath and in my sleep,

actually, they say, in my being.

O my captor,

keep me, in the cage of your heart,

never to be liberated from being your part,

in this life and in the next,

because, you are the only one,

I know, I love, I hate, I care for,

here and there,

now and beyond,

transcending all boundaries of space and time.
