You Are My Moon

I cloaked the sun and summoned birds to sing ballad

To solder my parts I went to a haddad

Shuddering in pain I gave him a palette

To fill it with colours and call my gallad

The hymn of my pulse calling you, bethinking the promises unkept

Seeing you up in the sky I fiddled my ring and leapt

Not able to resist your stormy effect

My hands were inept and around my feet thorny roses crept

You are my moon , I belong to you

Scribbling fanatically the maps I drew

Walking barefooted towards the paragon of virtue

Waiting for your arrival, tears filled my eyes anew

Holding the lantern I saw your shrine

I ran towards it and reached the confine

Beckoning you to unveil the power so divine

I leered a little close to see you shine

Moving elegantly leaving my nation behind

Killing a dozen men who delimit me to fly blind

I made my most spectacular find

Stepping forward I joined his kind
