You Are Chasing The World While I Am Chasing Your Back

'You are chasing the world while I am chasing your back'

She wanted the world and you wonder if your love was holding her back,

Was your love restraining her from growing and reaching her stars?

Was your love chaining her from dreams you know you she can go far?

Was it because of you that she have to let go?

She have big dreams; a house, a career, and a car for a get-go,

You have big dreams; a marriage, a family, and a home that starts with you two.

Her future's not with you so you let her go.

'You are chasing the world while I am chasing your back'

And for him the world was her, in his arms, coming back.

And you wonder does he even see the way you care,

When all he thinks of was his old flame's flare.

For him, his world was her.

Regardless of breaking up and being broken it will still be her.

You never even like marathon but for him, you're a runner.

Still, no matter how fast you run, you know you'll never be his winner.

For his heart belongs to someone,

Someone who chases her dream,

A dream that you are currently living,

Yet, here you are chasing a man that belongs to her.
