Writing Emotions into a letter

I have written many letters, scribbled away a thousand words as each time it felt like it was not the right words spoken or said. The paper bin lay full of thoughts sometimes I think were actually meant to be read yet didn’t feel right at the moment I had written it. I’d reached my final pages and new at some point I’d have to make the final dreadful choice and put to rest what I was avoiding...the truth of how I truly felt. It’s not easy expressing emotions on paper neither finding the words that express the feeling. Love alone is so complex, yet Romeo and Juliet made it sound so easy. Yet here I was trying to write a simple letter to say just three simple words, yet I was trying to express it in a way that sounded sincere, truthful and honest. A way that didn’t just make it three simple words but actually made it seem so profound and earnest and that showed the true meaning behind it. For the feeling shared a depth like no other, that was beyond comprehension and I needed the one who would read it to understand that in the end “I love you” carried a weight far beyond they could ever imagine. That these words burned not just in heart and soul, but what seemed like an eternal flame. So yes, as I wrote on my last pages, I needed to make sure that the message herein would not just be three simple words...but an “I love you” that touched the reader meant to receive it.
