Would You? – Zuhayr Hatia

In cold breeze and winter's rain,

Our moments together inside my brain.

When time passes by and nights turn to days,

Your laugh and touch keep me in a daze.

With nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,

Stuck in a chair with both hands tied.

If you asked me to stay while my place is taken,

How would you expect me to sit with no seat open?

If you could live without me, would you say?

So I don't spend my days, losing my way.

If I could show that my heart only beats for you,

I'd swim through cold oceans to prove it's true.

Our distant paths intersected for a reason,

Would you abandon my love or commit treason?

I've given you my heart, every flaw and every sin,

But would you still love me if doubts slowly crept in?

I'm afraid you'd realize I'm not worth the fight,

A guy with no hope, if those sins came to light.

Would you keep me out, if someone new walked in?

Would you promise to tell me if your love grew thin?
