Work From Home
By Mounika Kundurthi
From homework to work from home
First, we pay for the work we get
Latter, we get paid for the work we do
The line between office and home
Merged into a laptop and desk zone
Days became more periodic with random swings.
There all tend to do the same at least pretend to Here, part of others online class, kitchen crew, Neighbors’ chores, children’s games too.
Missing real faces, live meeting, open
Air games, cafeteria chitchat and fun.
Solitude is my attitude now.
Silent nights, Restless minds, tic tic keyboard sounds.
Like brought fish from a river
To keep in an aquarium cubic
Distant in a home from peers
Artificial setup was done to mimic.
But differs based on one’s status.
