There's a doe-eyed dreamer,

Naive heart and redeemer,

Of hope that binds the life,

Fighting all the recurring strife.

Soft core and hard shell,

Not so easy to tell.

Yet tries to retain her tender soul,

Keeping aside all the foul.

Bruised black and blue,

Does anyone have a clue?

But not broken! Yeah, blood-stained,

Yet never restrained.

To show how much she cares,

By all the unwordly things she shares.

Don't get her wrong,

When she seems all withdrawn.

She is fighting it alone,

Like a perched abalone,

Against the violent waves,

Trying to curve its shapes,

Still able to protect the precious pearl inside,

Against the ever so hungry tide.
