Wish

I don't want you to notice me when I am gone

But to yearn for me when I am there

The way I do for you

I don't want you to hear me only when I shout

But to listen to the sadness in my silence

The way I would for you

I don't want you to hold a conversation with me out of need

But for our stolen glances to hold secrets so deep that I am no longer afraid to drown

The way I would want to with you

I don't want you to be worlds apart

But for us to dream beneath a similar sky

The way I wish it could be with you

I don't want to be your afterthought

But for me to fill your every thought

The way I pray for it to come true.
