Winter’s arrival

Chilly winds and freezing weather,

and I’m out here with coats boots and sweaters.

The children out in the snow,

Running and playing without care

The sweet scent of cinnamon and coal

Fills the dusty, breezy air.

Christmas trees and flashy nights,

Warm houses and words of light

The holy people bring cheers and joy

The shops packed with crackers, hot chocolate and toys.

The snow hail hits hard,

Frostbite and fever

Parents worry and fear

While girls and boys sprint and cheer.

Soups and colds,

Sneezing and flu’s

And that’s why I told you, Wear coats and boots.
