Winds Of Change

Updated: Aug 21

By Nazia I Bashir

In a far away land, a cold hearted king started his reign.

Such was the impact of his coldness, the hearts and the souls of the countrymen froze.

The religion was made the weapon to create divisions.

All the countrymen who once stood united started to accept the injustice.

The plight of women become so disturbing.

Shutting ones eyes and switching off the brain became safer to avoid the bludgeoning.

The rich and the powerful started to torment the poor and gullible.

Living a modest life, became so miserable.

Happy celebration of his coronation, were mere an illusion.

All this followed by gagging everyone who came up with a question.

Yet all good things were not totally lost, if only the king can see his own countrymen in aghast!

Few good people are rallying forward.

Speaking the truth valiantly and showing to stand for one’s own right.

The burning flames in their torch are nothing but purely their own courage .

Where they are calling for the “Winds of Change”.
