Will You?

Will you

Hold my face in your hands

Let your lips crush mine?

Hold my hand in yours,

Our fingers intertwined?

Hold me close, we breathe as one

As we dance slow

Will you

Stay for the night?

I don't want you to go.

Will you

Hold my gaze

In misty July rains?

Push me up against the wall

In dim, little, lonely lanes?

But most of all..

Will you

Hold me

In your heart,

Even if

With time,

We grow apart?

The way I love her

I stroke the hair

Of my lady fair

As I look into her

Mellow brown eyes

Oh, the way I love her!

I'd write it across the skies

I watch her sleep

So peaceful and deep

Enchanted, I keep looking

At nature's work of art

The way I love her

Calms the chaos in my heart

I call her name

The loveliest of dames;

Without turning around,

She breathes a soft purr

*sigh* If only she loved me

The way I love her!

Never Again

What really unsettles me

Is that I watched you walk away

Because I supposed

That was the last

I’d see of you,

But I would never learn

How to make peace

With the naked truth

That I was right

Sky

He even exited in grace

Like the Sun.

A picturesque blush in the sky

A beauty to all beholders

But only the sky knows

The melancholy of the orange

For now, she shall be dark

.

.

.

Oh only if she saw through

The twilight haze

Into a deep dark night

That she was just as beautiful

Even without the sun

For there was the moon

And oh so many stars

Embedded in her Stygian Black

In whose iridescence

She sleeps.

The late-night call

I never consciously knew

That I was waiting

For you to call me

Until you did

My heart, it leapt

Your voice a little distant

Yet why so close

As if you were right here

Whispering in my ears

A longing creeps its way

Into my heart-

Caught off its guard once again-

But I know

The desire won't remain

And so won't you

But the memory shall

Of this late-night call

Dead air

In the clamour

Of the crowd

The murmur

unclear and loud

I do not even ask for silence

only your voice

Somewhere

Lost among others

But distinct to my ears

I listen intently

Until

My anticipation

Becomes soundless

Tranquil nowise

Only numb

Untitled

A moment

So temporary

So transient

I remember

The dusk was insignificant

But is it ever?

In secret and in silence;

To get caught being lost

In the selfish torment

That I lament

(or do I flaunt?)

I drink the realisation

That it is my fault.

For I seek it

And I keep it.

But time takes, it robs and reduces me

The keeper, I become the prisoner

Slave even.

But I’m breathing;

In this sordid suffering

My dumb heart thumps.

Unacknowledged but not unknown

My acquiescence sighs.

Recovery

I am

Beyond reason

A foolish feral

Without cause, I rebel

Only, underneath the veil

Is a weary and teary soul.

I long for

A restoration

A reversal, a revival.

Hope is my drug

But a foul fate shrugs

I have no way back

This gaping gap,

A boundless barrenness

Has me harnessed.

The passing,

A leisurely anguish..

And what has passed

Went by too fast.

Untitled

Alone, in the dark, I dance.

Flat chest, thick thighs,

dark skin..

My mellow eyes

Glisten

I dance in my prison

But at least in this moment

Am I free?

I know I'm not

There is a certain curtailment to my motion

An unnecessary complexity

For a phantom gaze

I manipulate my ways

I have grown into the disapproval

I am embracing my antipathy

Towards self

I need no one else

I hate myself just as good

As any other person could

Untitled

A brittle silence that balanced delicately

On my held breath finally breaks

Cold marbles of anticipation

Fall and bounce

Into my stunned confusion

Nimble mind, thoughts flood,

Numb fingers in blade and blood

It happened again

The bridge of hope crumbles

Collapses my reparations with itself

I never see the other side

A choice,

Questioning every heartbeat

Contempt, helplessness, exasperation

Exhaustion

*sigh*

Why

Unanswered and promiseless

Encumbered by guilt

I let me go

I only wanted to escape

But in sooth, I have nowhere to go

My home in a broken heart

I find myself in this temporal loop

Within 4 walls and 24 hours

Moments slip but time doesn't pass

And my curse is such that neither do I

Untitled

A little space

For a cold embrace

Undisclosed

Indisposed

Dim lights

Cold nights

No strangers intrude

Aware and nervous

The urgency of solitude

A defeated purpose

Untitled

In your embrace is a serenity like the ocean floor

The moment is opaque - impenetrable to time, to life

I do not understand yet I seem to know

There is no more desire, nor ache

In this blanket of tenderness lingers a divine peace

And for this reason, darling, we must love...
