Wildflowers

Take me to the place where the wildflowers bloom

To see the pansies and violets dotted on meadows,

To go over the valleys and through the moors,

Through the pines where the misty rain billows

It's such a lovely place to be, across the lake

The grass and moss as green as can be

Where worrying thoughts slowly drift away

Like the clocks of a dandelion sailing in the breeze

And see the poppy heads dance with the wind

With the cornflowers and asters for company

Where the forget-me-nots lay trimmed

The beauty of all etched in the heart for eternity
