Why Will Someone Remember Me..
By Shriddhi Singhal
Why will someone remember me
Who am I, if not a broken dream
A discarded advertisement cards between papers that carry the news
I'm a futile attempt at pottery,
A vase.. That just won't become a masterpiece
A canvas that just paints the brushes with brutal honesty
Am I a tragedy?
I'm the corner cafe that is nostalgic, forgotten with time. Merged into the walls and street.
Who will remember me...
What is my destiny.
Why will someone remember me
What am I if not a broken toy you discarded. Yet kept inside a box as memory.
I'm a donated shoe, someone left me, someone picked up.
I'm not a mere painting, I'm a whole art gallery
Stared at, but never bought.
I'm the lone portrait of mourn.
I'm beautiful, I'm yet forgotten easily, cause I'm too sweet and I merge in the sun as it sets and I rise with the moon.
I'm too easy to forget.
I am.... the utterly lost, unfinished raw poetry.
