Why Did She Come?

Wasn't me, since she came along,

Stole my identity and from where I belong.

Honestly, she was never better than me,

But she always tried to be me.

I am ashamed by her attitude,

She has no gratitude.

It was never me that was choosen since she came,

It was always me who got the blame.

Little by little everyone hated her like I did,

But why was I sad for her when she was just a mid.

I don't care about her I said,

And made myself listen to my head.

She would cry all day because of the hate,

I thought of comforting, but seems like I was too late.

She begged and cried,

She tried and tried.

Everyone stopped appreciating her,

She never got praised for.

Was I wrong to hate her,

Yes.. I was, but I still hated her more and more.

But it was no one other than me..

When I looked in the mirror disappointment is all I could see.

She was weak, so was I,

But I always wished to fly up in the sky.

"Don't worry", I heard, it was her with a smile,

In the mirror so bright and full of life.

"You made it" she said,

And yes I was proud, proud of how I am made.

Someone's little talk, wouldn't make me hate myself,

Never will I ever look behind and feel shameless.

My life belongs to her, the one in the mirror,

My love, my protector and my saviour.

How may I ever trust someone else if I can't trust myself,

Trust myself for who I am, what I am and how I build myself.

Perfection is beneath the heart and mind,

Not these weightless body of mine.
