Who Am I?
By Khushi Goel
There is a me, in those fluttering pages of the book you read each morning, with a mug of coffee in your hand,
And a me, in the unspoken words and emotions of your heart, that no one would understand.
I exist in the verses of the songs you keep humming everyday,
And also in the intriguing cinema you watch, depicting love, passion and dismay.
I am a part of those bittersweet moments, which make you happy and nostalgic at the same time,
And a part of all your mischief and shenanigans, like a partner in crime.
You can feel my presence in the wind that kisses your face on a cold and chilly night,
And taste my essence, while eating the food I love, savouring its every little bite.
There is a mention of me in the conversations you hear around you,
My soul resides in the sunsets you see every evening, seemingly alike and yet so new.
One day you will find me every where around you, and the other day, neither in the city nor on the seashore,
Like an unending and an everlasting tale of truth, lie and mystery, we have all been written before.
