White: Boon or Bane !

White , the very colour, is taken,

by many, as a sign of ill omen.

Couldn’t quench my query,

about this belief, so eerie.

Saddened to appreciate the sight,

of cremation grounds painted white,

the poor colour chosen by the folks,

to mourn over, with lost hopes !

Though, National flag, carries it with pride,

but, not appreciated when worn by a bride.

This ill thought , becomes a ritual, in one go,

for the same bride who becomes a widow.

Adorned with the same , Dove, flies high;

The bird symbolizing Peace, in the sky.

Diversity exists , based on this mere hue,

Major unresolved issues are in the queue!

Love for few ; for some, a presage of evil,

Pure and serene is one school of thought,

While, the other, hatred has been brought,

Soon, this tint settles and find it’s fate,

brings unity and an end to the wait !
