Where To Find You?
By Chethan N Murthy
I asked the sea, she said she don’t know I asked the shore, but he looked away as foe But your foot prints painted on the sands lingered in the air And I stood clueless, don’t know where to find you there! I watched the waves retreat They were scared to erase the silage of your feet! I watched the moon hide in fear Maybe he too missed you dear!
I saw your name far and high Drawn by murmuration of starlings in the sky Dusk sun refused to bid adieu He sobbed and said, you were his light in which he glew!
In your offing I saw my ship sinking in storms My heart fidgets begging to save it, So lend me your arms
And then when you have gone… Sea waits to drown me Sun wants to burn me Starlings wants to never return Moon wants to fade and burn Your foot prints, printed on the sands lingered in the air As all of us (me, sun, moon, starlings) stood clueless don’t know, where to find you there?
